Using a toaster oven may seem like it would be something odd to do, but not always for some people because they could be limited on space in the kitchen and are only using a cooktop or nothing at all. Since this is the case, some people will turn to a toaster oven. I know this is a really great option if you live in an apartment that does not have enough room for a full-sized oven or stove. What I Liked About The Breville Mini Smart Oven BOV450XL
The capacity of the toaster oven is one of the aspects that I enjoy with this product. Normally, you would think about these and think they only have enough space to hold a couple of pieces of toast or a mini pizza. However, the Breville BOV450XL has enough room for 4 pieces of toast, but it also is able to hold up to an 11-inch pizza on the inside and cook it properly for you.
Another great feature, which I like from a safety standpoint is the automatic shutoff. If you are like me, you probably lead a fast-paced and hectic life. However, this often means you forget to turn some things off at times. What is nice about this toaster oven is the fact it has an automatic shutoff. This makes it easier for you to have the toaster oven on and know it is going to work for what you need to have it for.
Pre-set cooking features is something else that is really nice about this product as well. I know that for some of the items I make, I need to get the temperature and other items set up perfectly. However, I have found that the more I use the toaster ovens the easier it is for me to use the preset features. These make it quite a bit easier for me to get the toaster oven set up and forgotten about until I hear the timer go off for the food.
What I Did Not Like About The Toaster Oven From Breville
Now, the recommended clearance height is for safety reasons. However, what I have found is the amount of clearance required is quite a bit more than what I was expecting. Since this is so much higher than what I was thinking I was going to have, I found that I had to find a new place to move the toaster oven to. This meant doing some slight rearrangement, but it was easy to do and I found that you need about 10 inches of clearance to avoid any heat issues.
What else that I do not like is how loud the buzzer is. Yes, it is nice that it goes off and tells me when the temperature is reached and that the dish is done. However, I have a Ninja coffee maker that is perfect for the kitchen, this one the buzzer is so loud I feel like I am sitting in the scoreboard for a basketball game.
My Final Thoughts On The Breville Toaster Oven
The Breville brand is a great brand of products that you can use and it is definitely a brand that I have known for years. Since this is the case, I have found this is a toaster oven that has been able to live up to the reputation that I am looking for. The toaster oven is durable and has the ability to cook the food that I need prepared quickly and in a manner that I know is safe. Overall, I would definitely recommend this toaster oven compared to some of the others on the market I have dealt with in the past.
