What I Like With The Uniden DC115 Dash Camera
Easy To Install
Just like most of the dash cameras that are on the market the installation of the camera is going to be very easy. You may notice by the picture that it is mainly a suction cup that is going to stick the camera up onto the windshield. Now, the downside is the camera just like your older radar detectors you may have had when you were younger is the fact that the suction cups can start to lose their grip in colder weather.
Records In 1080P
The recording that you are getting here is going to be very impressive and will actually blow away most of the recordings that security cameras give you. So the video quality is good and that allows you to get the most out of the video and be able to pick out all the details that you need to have. What else is nice is it really helps to define the details of what you need while you are driving for Uber or Lyft.
Has A Front And Back Camera
The bottom camera on the Uniden DC115 is actually a swivel camera. This makes it easier for you to get the view around the camera that you are looking for. Uses A Micro SD Card
With a lot of the cameras, they record your video for you. However, with the Uniden DC115, it actually uses one of the most common cards that you can find and that is the Micro SD card. The camera does come with an 8GB card and that will allow you to record some video, but if you have recorded anything in HD then you know 8 GB is not that big of a drive. However, the good news is the Micro SD card can be pretty much picked at any electronics department or even on eBay for a reasonable price.
Has A Wide 120 Wide Angle View
Normally, I would not think about the camera angle that you can have available. However, when you are driving a car and using a dash camera, the wider the angle the more you can see in what is involved in the road. What else is nice is with the rear-facing camera and the wider angle it allows you to protect yourself from potential lawsuits because it is going to allow you to see the passengers and what they are doing.

Has Split Screen Recording With No Way To Get Single Screen
The split-screen is one thing that is rather annoying at times. When you have the split-screen you are unable to get the single screen image that you want to have. I know that the split-screen is a good option at times, but for me I find the split screens to be a very annoying feature and one that is going to be impossible to get rid of when you are getting the recordings and starting to get what you are looking for.

A reviewer on Walmart said this about the Uniden dash cam, “protecting myself when I do Uber and Lyft”. That is definitely a plus with any of the dash cams that you are going to get, but this is definitely coming from one of the guys that actually uses it for this purpose of protecting themselves from any type of harm.
Another reviewer from Walmart actually said this, “Quality of video is fine”. This is something that we already brought up and that it is the fact that the quality of the video will be quite high and that makes it easier for you to get the recordings that you can actually look at.

My Final Thoughts On The Uniden DC115 Dash Camera
If you are looking for a dashcam that is affordable and not going to kill your budget then the Uniden DC115 is not that bad of a camera. The camera has plenty of recording features and the wide-angle definitely makes it easier for you to get the view that you need to have. At the same time, though, you will like the fact that the camera installs easily as well. The downside is the camera can have issues at times and the split-screen drives me crazy. Overall, if you are looking for a decent camera and the split-screen does not bother you, then you will like the Uniden DC115 Dash Camera, but if you do not like a split-screen then I suggest another dashcam.
