A cordless phone may seem a little dated since so many people are going away from the landlines, but I have found that while they are dated a landline does serve a purpose. With that being said, I do not really care for the corded phones as they are very limiting in where you can move around to. Now, what I did notice is that a lot of the new cordless phones are countless miles ahead of anything that I grew up with. Heck, some of them do not even need to have the big antenna to keep them connected to the base anymore. Now, with that being the case, I decided it was time to cover what I feel are the 5 best wall mounted cordless phones on the market today.
How Did I Narrow Down My List Of Cordless Phones
This was one of the challenge because I wanted to find a cordless phone that had a base that was wall mounted if you wanted it to be mounted on the wall. At the same time, though, I wanted to get a list that looked stylish and nice at the same time. Not only that I wanted to find phones that were actually functional and looked good. Not to mention, I wanted to find phones that did not take up as much space and could even have the base wall mounted if possible to keep the space usage on tables or counters to a minimum. Now, here are what I view as the 5 best wall mounted cordless phones.
Panasonic Cordless Phones With Answering Machine
The Panasonic set here comes with 4 phones that you can use and have them all tied in with a single base. The system does have a base that features an answering machine, but it can be checked by all the handsets if you need to. Now, the system can actually be expanded to up to 6 handsets if you have more space that needs a phone. When you are using this phone it does have a voice announcement to the phone number and the name of the person calling, but it also allows you to block people from calling as well. If you have the system in your room and need your kids, who have a handset, you can use the page button to get them on the phone they may have inside of their room.
AT&T CL83213 Cordless Phone Answering System
AT&T is one of the better phone units you can buy. When you look at this specific model you may enjoy the fact that it does have 2 handsets, but it can be expanded up to 12 total handsets. The DECT 6.0 technology helps to deliver only the best quality sound possible. The answering machine included in the system allows for up to 14 minutes of recording time. Just like some of the other models the phone does have a great intercom system that allows you to talk to any of the handsets at one time.
Vtech CS6949 Cordless Phone
Vtech is a brand that I typically associate with kids toys, I mean my older kids had the Vtech alphabet that would give you the letters name when you put in the block. Now, I know those toys are definitely durable as they survived my kids who are far from being gentle with anything they grew up with. The Vtech phone here does have a good answering machine that records up to 22 minutes of speaking. What else is nice is it does have a quiet mode if you do not want it blaring and waking up the kids you just got in bed. Something else that is great is you do not have to hunt down just Vtech handsets if you want to expand out as the cordless phone system uses the DECT 6.0 and that makes it compatible with the AT&T TL80133 handsets as well.
RCA 2162-3BKGA Element Series Cordless Phone
RCA is something that I really think about televisions or if you are old enough to remember the dog with the record player commercials. Now, that does not mean that RCA is limited to just those products, but it is what I mainly think about with RCA. The RCA phone here is not really wall mounted, which kind of stinks since I am mainly looking for wall mounted cordless phones. Now, I did include this because it does the job of what you want a phone to do, it rings and can be answered which is all that you really need out of a phone.
Panasonic Link2Cell Bluetooth Cordless Phone
I have to say if you are looking for a great cordless phone to use around your house, but do not have a landline or want the headache of a landline number, then this model could be for you. The Panasonic Link2Cell is able to connect to your cell phone which makes it easier for you to get the phone calls from your cell phone. What else is great even if you are unable to block the numbers on your cell phone the handsets make it easier for you to block numbers and not have to worry about them getting through and bugging you. Now, what else is great is the ability to link up to 2 cell phones to the system at one time.
How To Pick Between The 5 Best Wall Mounted Cordless Phones
A cordless phone is not as common as what they used to be. With that being the case, it is important that you find the right one when you do buy one. With that being the case, we have ranked what we feel are the 5 best wall mounted cordless phones. I have to say, that all these phones are a great selection, but the one that I really like is the Panasonic Link2Cell Bluetooth and that is mainly because I love the Bluetooth option.
